Since The Great Dickens Christmas Fair began, there have been Chimney Sweeps. Charming, loquatious scoundrels and heros, all covered in soot and grime and a smile and a wink.
Some years ago we incorporated a new way of interacting with the patrons and the scenery by having a crew of (much cleaner) lamplighters that still had all our old magic and a new twist of turning on or off the many streetlamps available in a London night.
Our group is extremely creative, both with our acting and street play as well as all techincial aspects of the theatrical experience. We have created lovely scenery, brilliant props, appropriately mistreated costuming, and horrifyingly charming makeup.
Our acting troupe have branche beyond our simple street performer Chimney Sweep days. We expanded our group to include Lamplighters and even the occasional Bobby policeman.
